Microlearning’s Killer App is Based on Science: Spaced Learning!

Will Thalheimer 1pm (BST) | Friday 15th September

Microlearning is all the rage in the workplace learning field, but too many see it as short videos.
Microlearning actually has two aspects:
-Learning pulled intentionally when needed to perform a work task and
-Learning threaded together in a meaningful string of interactions.

In this session, we’ll dig deeper on threaded microlearning, focusing first on the science behind a powerful memory effect and then focusing practically on how to use microlearning to ensure learning is remembered and applied on the job.

Led by the renowned research-to-practice guru, Dr. Will Thalheimer, this session will buzz with interactive challenges and practical research insights!

You’ll hear how to:
– Avoid the weaknesses in some microlearning efforts.
– Utilize the spacing effect to support learners in remembering.
– Parlay subscription learning to provide after-training follow-through.
