The EDI Series
EQUITY | DIVERSITY | INCLUSION

We are looking for people to film for a new video series that will raise awareness, educate, and change behaviours.

Over the past few years, increasing attention has been drawn to lack of diversity. That’s why we are creating a range of bite size videos, to cover all aspects of diversity and inclusion.

We are looking for people to share their very real experiences to help learners understand the injustices people face within communities, workplaces and society every single day.

Do you have a story to tell, or practical ideas to share that could make a difference? If so, we’d love to interview you.

What will be covered in the interview?

  • Your own story of experiencing a lack of inclusion or diversity. This could include examples of micro aggressions, racial profiling, unconscious bias, privilege, etc.
  • The positive impact diversity can have in life and work. Do you have a real-life example?
  • Practical changes that can be made to help with diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Where will the videos be hosted?

The videos will be hosted on the Clear Lessons video platform.

Clear Lessons provides bite-size videos, completely free of charge to anyone in the charity sector. The videos are filmed as talking heads – real people, real stories, and no scripts.

The filming process

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have decided to film this series virtually with Dr Mark, Visual Anthropologist and Filmmaker, interviewing subjects.

There are various interview options, including via zoom, on your mobile phone, or audio recording. Where needed, equipment – such as a phone holder – will be posted to you.

Filming takes around an hour. We will chat through the questions in advance. The videos are not scripted and take the approach of an informal conversation. We want to leave our audience feeling inspired and motivated.
